A quick dessert recipe to use up left over hot cross buns.

Ingredients

  • Home made hot cross buns (Refer to Special Occasions page)
  • Vanilla custard (warm or cold)
  • Fresh fruit (sliced)

Directions

1. Cut the hot cross buns in half and toast under a griller.
2. Place the bottom half of the hot cross bun in a bowl. Pour a bit of custard over the top, add a layer of fruit, then the top of the hot cross bun.
3. Drizzle the bun with some more custard and serve with some extra fruit.

Note

Low Chemical / Failsafe, depending on the type of hot cross bun and the fruit used.
