Since starting on the elimination diet, fried rice has become one of our week-night staples. It is easy to make and very quick, especially if you already have cooked chicken on hand. We usually have some left over roast chicken in the freezer. This recipe is based on Birgit’s Indonesian-style fried rice, in The Failsafe Cookbook.

Yes, golden syrup, maple syrup (pure) and rice malt syrup are all low salicylate alternatives to honey. I find the rice malt syrup is closest in taste to honey and you can get it from some health food stores and online from Allergy Train.
Golden Syrup is low Salicylates???? Since honey is off the list I've been wondering what I can substitute – hooray! So glad I found your site 🙂
Thanks. I hadn't come across that one, but it looks like another great source of ideas.
that sounds yummy. It must be tough thinking up recipes. Have you seen this site http://www.foodyoucaneat.com/
It used to be great, you could put in foods you could use and it would throw recipes back at you but it looks like it may have changed a bit
