With all the crazy weather we’ve been having lately our vegie garden seems to be a bit confused. Some things are taking off like wild fire, others think winter is coming early and have gone to seed! Of the three chokos I planted, one is still surviving. The first died off within a week of planting – that was the one with the white stem. It started to turn green, but I think the snails got to it. That left two, both of which were doing extremely well until the week before Christmas when one of them disappeared (the sprout that is) – I presume it was birds. Fingers crossed, the third is doing well and has almost reached the first rung of the climbing frame.
